More Than 30 Years In Child Care

Brookhaven Child Care is a place where your child will not only feel safe, secure, and cared for, but the environment and conditions are such that your child will, inspired by his/her own innate curiosity and hunger to learn, grow emotionally, socially, and intellectually.


We believe capturing and documenting our practice is a form of reinforcement of the learning process for educators, family, and children.” Our goal is to help foster anti-racist views and avoid gender bias values, attitudes, and practices. Our programs and activities reflect the ethnocultural diversity of Toronto and promote respect and appreciation of differences.

Toddler & Preschool Program (18 Months to 4 years)

Our Toddler & Preschool Program focuses on creating a warm, caring atmosphere where young children feel safe to explore their world.


Through hands-on activities, sensory play, and nurturing routines, children build early social skills, communication, and confidence.


Program Features:


  • Language development through stories, songs, and conversation
  • Emergent curriculum aligned with Ontario’s Early Learning Framework
  • Enriched literacy and numeracy activities
  • Arts, music, and science exploration
  • Nutritious meals and snacks provided
  • Low child-to-educator ratio
  • Daily outdoor time and gross motor activities
  • 2 Hours Rest period provided each day
  • Daily Communication (Our app, "The Parent App", allows for even easier communications between educators and parents.)

Kindergarten Before & After Program (4 Years to 6 Years)

Brookhaven’s Kindergarten Program supports your child’s transition from play-based learning to more structured routines, while still encouraging creativity, curiosity, and independence.


Program features:


  • Emergent curriculum aligned with Ontario’s Early Learning Framework
  • Enriched literacy and numeracy activities
  • Arts, music, and science exploration
  • Strong focus on social and emotional development
  • Healthy Snacks provided
  • Daily Communication (Our app, "The Parent App", allows for even easier communications between educators and parents.)


The childcare offers a full-day program on non-instructional days. Including a nutritious lunch and healthy snacks.

School Age Before & After School Care (6 Years Old & Up)

We offer flexible before and after school care for school-age children, giving parents peace of mind and kids a fun, relaxed environment before and after their school day.


Program includes:


  • Homework help and quiet time
  • Physical activity and outdoor play
  • Creative crafts, games, and enrichment
  • Healthy Snacks provided
  • Daily Communication (Our app, "The Parent App", allows for even easier communications between educators and parents.)


The childcare offers a full-day program on non-instructional days. Including a nutritious lunch and healthy snacks.
